Bride and groom preparation: makeup, gele, hair, nails and grooming

Find a bridal makeup artist

Your makeup has to last through the ceremony, the photos and a long day. Choose someone who understands your skin and your schedule.

The service

What the service involves

A consultation, a look that suits you, application on the day, and often a trial. Some artists also tie gele, style hair, do nails or prepare the bridal party. For the groom, this can include barbering and grooming.

What people book for a Nigerian wedding

  1. Traditional wedding: makeup that works with your outfit and colours, gele tying, and often more than one look if there is an outfit change.

  2. White wedding: a longer lasting look for the church or hall, the photographs and the reception.

  3. The bridal party: mothers, bridesmaids and sisters often need makeup too. Agree the number of people and the order in advance.

  4. The groom: grooming, barbering and styling.

Hire with care

Before you pay

Check the vendor's profile and portfolio. A Verified badge means the vendor has completed identity checks and their profile. It does not guarantee quality. When you hire in the app, you review the vendor's payment request before you pay.

  • Look at profiles and portfolios
  • Review the payment request before you pay
  • Approve the work before the vendor can request a payout
